Alan MacDiarmid Symposium on Organic Conductors
Date: 14th April 2008
Venue: Victoria University of Wellington
In memory of Prof. Alan MacDiarmid, the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science and The MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology have worked together to establish the Alan MacDiarmid Symposium on Organic Conductors. The annual symposium celebrates Alan MacDiarmid’s incredible achievements in research, and the inspiration he gave to many young scientists around the world, and in particular to those in New Zealand and Australia.
The 2nd Alan MacDiarmid Symposium on Organic Conductors will be held on Monday the 14th April 2008 to coincide with Alan’s birthday. The event will be held at Victoria University, the place where Alan carried out both his Bachelor and Masters degrees. Perched overlooking Wellington harbour, the venue promises to provide a fitting atmosphere to remember what was and anticipate the future. In Alan’s own words “We all owe so much to those who have gone before us - we stand on the shoulders of giants.”
If you would like to present your research work in any area of organic conductors, please provide a one page abstract and a brief curriculum vitae before February 1st 2008 to:
