Ebubekir Avci received his PhD degree in robotics from Osaka University, Japan and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Toyota Technological Institute, Japan in the field of parallel mechanism robots. Then, he was a Research Associate with the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery, Imperial College, London. He is currently an Associate Professor in Mechatronics and Robotics at Massey University.
